By themselves, words are simply a collection of characters. We agree that, when assembled in a certain order, they make a certain sound when spoken and mean a certain thing when interpreted.
And even that agreement is tenuous, depending on intention, location, and target audience.
“I’m sorry.” Are you? How many times have you tried to make the word “community” mean something? Tell a 6-year-old to “put a pin in it” and see what happens.
Words are vehicles for our big ideas. They are dreams, desires, suggestions, and inspirations.
Lazy words indicate lazy thought and lead to lazy action. I’m a lazy person, physically, but I hate lazy thought.
If you want your give your thoughts and ideas some muscle, let’s have a word.
